Allison
Allison was the first cat that Liz and I had together. We got her at the Collingwood Flea Market, which should have been an indication of the uphill battle the first few days was to hold. Yes the little girl was covered in fleas, so that evening (a Sunday), we gave her a flea bath. We soon discovered that she was allergic to the flea shampoo and we made a late night drive to the nearest all-night vet clinic to get her a shot of Atropine (about 20 miles away). She came through the ordeal just fine and was a total Hell raisier in a day or so.

When she was about 10 years old, Allison developed a vacination site fibrosarcoma. She did well for about 2 years after surgery, but the cancer returned and she died within a few months.

This portrait of Allison was shot when she was about 4 years old.
