Probably our best success story. When we got Tut from The Associated Humane Society on Halloween 1998, he was a mess. We took him immediately to the vet who gave him only a week to live. Tut was filled with parasites and his coat was a mess, but when he looked up at us with those copper eyes, we knew we had to take a chance on this cute black Persian. His health slowly improved, and after a few months, he pulled through. We were told he was eight years old when we got him, but in truth, he was probably closer to twelve. Tut was a people cat. When customers would come to the house, he was the perfect host! He loved to sit next to Liz on the stool you see here as she worked on horn repairs. We've never known another cat like him, and probably never will. Tut lived with us for five years before he passed on. |
